Follow these steps to get started with your device
Get startedPair with an Apple Watch
| 1. | Turn on your Apple Watch using the side button found on the side of the device. You can release the side button once the Apple logo appears on your watch. |
| 2. | If your Apple Watch and iPhone are close enough together, a message will appear on your iPhone, prompting you to start the pairing process. Choose Continue to start pairing. |
| 3. | If you don't see the message, choose the Watch app from your iPhone's home screen. (The app may be inside the Utilities folder) |
| 4. | Choose Start Pairing. |
| 5. | Hold your iPhone camera over the Watch so that the face fits comfortably inside of the yellow box. |
| 6. | Choose either Left or Right depending on which wrist you'd like to wear the watch on. |
| 7. | If you agree to the terms and conditions, choose Agree. |
| 8. | Enter your Apple ID password (you will have set this up when you first set your device up) and follow any on-screen instructions. |
| 9. | Alternatively, choose Skip This Step. |
| 10. | Next, you can decide if you would like to share your analytics with Apple. Choose either Share with Apple or Don't Share. This has no effect on how your watch performs. |
| 11. | You will now see which iPhone settings will be shared with your Apple Watch. Choose OK to continue. |
| 12. | If you would like to add a passcode to your Watch, choose Create a Passcode and then enter a 4 digit code into the keypad on your Watch screen. |
| 13. | If you don't want a passcode, choose Don't Add Passcode. |
| 14. | If you would like to set up your activity tracking, choose Set up Activity and follow the on-screen instructions. |
| 15. | If you don't want to set this up, choose Skip This Step. |
| 16. | The next screen will inform you about Heart Health. Read through and when happy, choose Continue. |
| 17. | This screen will inform you about the Emergency SOS features on your device. Read through the screen and then choose Continue. |
| 18. | If you would like to install compatible apps from your iPhone onto your Watch, choose Install All. |
| 19. | Otherwise, choose Choose Later to sync the basic apps such as email and messaging. |
| 20. | Your Apple Watch will now sync with your iPhone. Depending on how much data is being synced, this could take some time. |
| 21. | Once finished, choose OK to complete the process. |
