Complete the initial startup of your device

	Note: These steps may vary depending on your device model.

1.	From the welcome screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
2.	Tap your desired language.
3.	Tap your country/region.
4.	Using the slider, choose the size you want the text and icons to appear like on your iPhone, then tap Continue.
5.	From this screen, you can set up your device using Quick Start. To do this, bring another device running iOS 11 or later nearby to sign in automatically. If you need help with this, please follow the Quick Start guide option at the beginning. If you would like to skip this and set up your device manually, tap Set Up Without Another Device.
6.	From this screen, you can connect your device to nearby Wi-Fi networks. Tap the network you would like to connect to.
7.	Enter the network password, then tap Join.
8.	Read the data and privacy statement from Apple, then tap Continue.
9.	You have the option to set up your device for yourself or a child. For this example, tap Set Up for Myself.
10.	On this screen, you can set up Face ID on your device. Face ID uses your face as a security measure in place of a passcode or Apple Account password when making purchases or unlocking your device. Tap Continue and follow the on-screen instructions to register your face. Otherwise, tap Set Up Later.
11.	On this screen, you can set up a passcode. A passcode will be used when unlocking your iPhone or making purchases and is also required as a backup for Face ID. You can choose between creating a six-digit, four-digit, custom numeric, or custom alphanumeric code. Enter and re-enter your desired code, then jump to step 14. To skip this step, tap Passcode Options.
12.	Tap Don't Use Passcode.
13.	Tap Don't Use Passcode again.
14.	Here, you can restore data and content from a previous device and backup. If you are setting up your device from scratch, tap Don't Transfer Anything. If you want to transfer apps and data, follow the transfer data options at the beginning of the steps.
15.	To get the most out of your device, you should sign into your device using an Apple Account. This enables you to use iCloud functions and services such as Find My iPhone. Enter your Apple Account username and password, then tap Continue.
16.	Read through the terms and conditions, then tap Agree.
17.	Wait for your iCloud account to be signed in, then tap Continue.
18.	On this screen, you can set up Apple Pay. For now, tap Set Up Later.
19.	On this screen, you will be given the option to share iPhone Analytics with Apple. Tap your desired preference.
20.	On this screen, you will be given the option to share data with app developers. Tap your desired preference.
21.	Tap Continue.
22.	Tap Customise if you would like to change the function of the Action Button. You can change this later in Settings. For this example, tap Not Now.
23.	Read the information about Emergency SOS, then tap Continue.
24.	Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to unlock your new iPhone.
