Follow these steps to get started with your device
Get startedTransfer data to a new device using Quick Start
| Please note: To use Quick Start, you will need both your current device and new device. Make sure that your current device is connected to a Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth is turned on. | |
| 1. | From the welcome screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. |
| 2. | Tap your desired language. |
| 3. | Tap your country/region. |
| 4. | Choose how you would like the text and icons to look on iPhone, then tap Continue. |
| 5. | Your new iPhone will begin to look for nearby devices. Bring your current Apple device close to your new iPhone and then tap Continue when the prompt appears on-screen. |
| 6. | Using your current Apple device, hold the camera over your new iPhone and scan the pattern on-screen. Follow the instructions until you see the message 'Finish on New iPhone'. |
| 7. | Read the data and privacy statement from Apple, then tap Continue. |
| 8. | You have the option to set up your device for an adult, teen or a child. For this example, tap Adult. |
| 9. | On this screen, you can set up Face ID on your device. Face ID uses your face as a security measure instead of a passcode or your Apple Account password when making purchases or unlocking your device. Tap Continue to begin registering your face, or tap Set Up Later to skip this step. |
| 10. | Tap Get Started and follow the on-screen instructions to register your face. |
| 11. | For this example, tap Don't Use Face ID With a Mask. However, if you want to set up Face ID while wearing a mask, tap Use Face ID With a Mask and follow the on-screen instructions. |
| 12. | Tap Continue. |
| 13. | On this screen, you can set up a passcode. Your passcode is used to unlock your iPhone, make purchases, and serves as a backup for Face ID. You can choose to create a six-digit code, a four-digit code, a custom numeric code, or a custom alphanumeric code. Enter your passcode using the on-screen keypad. |
| 14. | Re-enter your passcode. |
| 15. | To get the most out of your device, you should sign into your device using an Apple Account. This enables you to use iCloud functions and services such as Find My iPhone. Enter your Apple Account username and password, then tap Continue. |
| 16. | Wait for your iCloud account to be signed in, then tap Continue. |
| 17. | On this screen, you have the option to share iPhone Analytics with Apple. Tap your preferred option. |
| 18. | On this screen, you have the option to share your app data with developers. Tap your preferred option. |
| 19. | Here, you can set up Apple Intelligence on your iPhone. For this example, tap Set Up Later. |
| 20. | Learn how to use the Camera Control feature, then tap Continue. |
| 21. | If you want to set up Siri, tap Continue and follow the on-screen instructions. For this example, tap Set Up Later. |
| 22. | Read the information about Emergency SOS, then tap Continue. |
| 23. | Tap Get started to unlock your new iPhone. |
